Students need your help

Published 21st Mar 2011

Fancy helping out some young aspiring hair and beauty professionals? Oh go on, it feels good to help.

I've received a letter from a third year fashion communication student at Nottingham Trent University, Faye Danks - she and two fellow students are entering this year's L'Oreal Professionnel Brandstorm Competition. Basically they have to come up with a concept for a new brand and convince some of the top bods at L'Oreal, including the CEO that their's is the best idea. This year the focus is on L'Oreal Professionnel's male or Homme line.

The concept the three are working on is a hair colouring wash - not a colour, but a colour-enhancing product in a range of nine tones, backed by a range of colour-enhancing shampoos available to buy in the salon.

To help them with their project they are looking for feedback from hairdressers and male clients on whether they think the concept is a goer.

Go on give them a break - they're young and ambitious.
