Celebrity clients for apprentices
The pressure was increased this week when the remaining four finalists in Jamie's Apprentice on ITV's This Morning arrived at the Studio. As they picked celebrity faces out of a hat, each was asked to recreate an on-trend up-do that wouldn't look out of place on a red carpet - and they had just 45 minutes to complete the task.
Kieron chose Sarah Cawood and his interpretation of a sleek pleat received good feedback from both judges and client alike but too much product was used to finish the hair; Romy's textured updo on Linda Nolan came together at the end and the great preparation enabled her to finish - just in time; Brad's glamorous pony on Melinda Messenger was adapted to suit her hair cut and face shape and received positive feedback, although Melinda would have preferred a smoother quiff at the front and for Jack working with Janice Dickinson, the pressure was on to create a retro beehive - but he had the added challenge of a full head of hair extensions. Back brushed to create the volume, Jack kept tweaking what had been a near perfect finish and recognised that less is often, more!
Each finalists did the industry proud as the coped extremely well under pressure and were polite and professional with their clients throughout the task. It was Kieron who left the competition this week but his huge passion for industry and desire to learn will undoubtedly see his star shining brightly.
