Step by step: the embellished updo

We absolutely love this embellished updo Zoe Irwin created for her recent Tatler shoot. Perfect for the upcoming festive season, we caught up with Zara Lynch, Own Brand Technical Trainer at Salon Services UK & Ireland for her top tips on how to recreate this stunning style.

'From sleek ponytails to elegant chignons, adding pearls and accessories will bring any up-do to life. Gold and bronze accessories looks great with medium to dark brown hair, whilst pearls and diamonds enhance blonde ash tones and add definition.'

Here are my 3 simple steps to achieving this look:

• Create loose curls throughout the hair with the BaByliss Pro Perfect Curl and add hold using the Maria Nila Finishing Spray.
• Roll hair in the Scunci French Twist horizontally from the ends of the hair up to the nape of the neck and fasten in place.
