Sharon peake creates a chic horror hairstyle

"This image was inspired by 1980's horror films including The Hunger and Cat People and also the famous punk Jordan, who socialised with the Sex Pistols and Vivienne Westwood.

The idea was to style the hair up and away from the face, but organically it became more architectural and dramatic.

The models face is so feline that the style was immediately named The Cat. I created it by backcombing the hair, applying hairspray, folding it over a large kitchen knife and clamping with irons to get the sharp edge."

"I wanted the make-up to complement but not compete with the hair. The model had beautiful eyes, which I enhanced with smoky eye make-up. I used minimal colour on her contoured skin and lips. The result - a stunning, mesmerising gothic pixie."
