Shailene woodley cuts hair for cancer role - and donates it to charity

Actress Shailene Woodley recently unveiled a new shorter hairstyle - and revealed that she has donated the lengths to Children with Hair Loss.
The charity provides human hair wigs to children suffering medical hair loss - fitting, as Shailene's new cut was for her upcoming role as Hazel Lancaster in The Fault in our Stars; a romance between two teenagers who meet in a kids' cancer support group.
Author John Green, whose bestselling young adult novel the film is based on, said: "When Shailene told me about this, I immediately thought there might be people who wanted to join her.
"So if you have eight or more inches of spare hair, consider donating it to Children With Hair Loss. I want to be clear that this was entirely Shai’s idea. (I don’t even think the studio knows about it.) I hope if you’re able, you’ll consider joining Shai in donating. Thanks!"
