When the shop next door to Hoop salon became available, owner Tim Thomas welcomed the opportunity to double in size. So he planned the refit with a simple agenda: it would work around clients and be completed within six weeks. Tim and his team created a mood folder full of design ideas for the new-look business and came up with a strong design concept - cool white walls, soft lighting and wooden flooringThey also installed eight plasma screens around the salon, which show fashion, hair and lifestyle programmes, to keep the clients entertained; and hung 8ft posters of some of the images that Tim had created over the past few years, to act as talking points. "Client comfort, along with creating a stylish, contemporary environment, was really important – and it’s exactly what we’ve achieved," said Tim. ![]() | |
