A stylist from Talking Heads Hair Designers in Newcastle Emlyn, Wales has been recognised for her work on an independent film.
Emily Biggs worked on the short film
The Eleventh Hour to create the desired looks for producer Holly Kenyon and the cast. Her efforts won her an award for hair design at the Portsmouth Film Festival.
Commenting on Emily’s work, Holly said: "The hair design for the film required some imaginative thinking, especially as regards one particular character, and Emily created the most amazing looks. And time and time again, each day recreating the same beautiful styles. No continuity errors with the actors’ hair that is for sure! So often hard work and talent goes unsung so I am really pleased that Emily is being recognised in this way and on an international scale. She deserves it!"
Emily has relished the experience and hopes to do more film work.
Commenting on her win, Emily said: "Thanks so much for Holly for such an amazing opportunity! If it wasn't for you we wouldn't be here now!"
