The Salon Services team have smashed their charity target by raising an amazing £63,000 for children's wig charity, The Little Princess Trust.
More than doubling their original goal of £25,000, Salon Services raised the impressive figure through a year-long calendar of events. From cutting off hair to fun in-store events, the entire network of hair and beauty wholesalers got involved to raise funds for the charity, which provides real-hair wigs to children who have lost their own through cancer treatment.
To mark the milestone, managing director Richard Hull completed one final fundraiser; a ride on Europe's longest zipwire. Reaching speeds of up to 100mph, Richard braved the 1,600m route across the Welsh countryside in support of the charity.
After the challenge, Richard said: "We’re delighted to be able to present The Little Princess Trust with this money and help support the fantastic work they do. Our staff have done some amazing activities to raise money which has allowed us to smash our target, even if it did mean I had to fly 500ft above the Welsh countryside."
The fundraising doesn't stop there; Salon Services have now launched a #BadHairDay campaign on Instagram - just upload your own hair disasters with the tag and donate
here.
