Salon international 2013: inspiring seminar schedule announced!

Whether you are a creative genius or the brains behind the business, Salon International will inspire, educate and motivate. Over three days there is an exciting seminar programme in an up close and personal environment for hairdressers of all levels and experience.
The Salon Seminars see two of the world’s leading artistic teams present their latest collections and techniques while, for the first time, world renowned trichologist Glenn Lyons will be bridging the gap between trichology and hairdressing. And a selection of top business gurus will also be sharing their secrets to success.
The must-attend Business Extra seminars will ensure you are up-to-date with the latest business developments with expert advice and top tips to take back to the salon.

The Mahogany creative team will be launching its Spring/Summer 2014 collection, with a host of live cut and colour models to demonstrate the techniques in every detail. International creative director Colin Greaney and UK creative director Antony Licata will be leading the team with innovative cutting and colouring techniques that have seen them in demand around the world.
*Student rates are available for Monday’s session. Proof of student ID will be necessary.

Led by Richard Ashforth, the Saco International creative team will present technical, detailed cutting and colouring demonstrations. Visitors will see the latest collection come to life in this intimate show.
Philip Kingsley – Trichology Taster
Saturday 12 October 1–2pm and 3–4pm
Sunday 13 October 11am–12pm, 1–2pm and 3–4pm
Philip Kingsley clinical director and world renowned trichologist Glenn Lyons will be sharing his 45 years’ experience explaining the science behind some of the most common hair loss and scalp conditions, with advice for hairdressers on dealing with these problems in the salon.
Darren and Jackie Ambrose - Staff Motivation

Darren and Jackie Ambrose run a busy salon
in Pinner, Middlesex, and have a happy, loyal
and dedicated team. They will be talking about staff motivation and offering advice on retaining staff, while keeping them inspired and motivated.
Mark Woolley - Creating a Successful Brand
Sunday 13 October 12-1pm
Mark is more than just a hairdresser, he’s the award-winning entrepreneur behind the Electric Hairdressing brand. He will share his top tips on building a brand, keeping creativity at the core of the business, and creating a journey for you and your team.
Stephen Gresty - Emotional Intelligence
Sunday 13 October 2-3pm
In this seminar on emotional intelligence, Stephen will take you on a journey of discovery, looking at how and why you can grow your people who in turn will grow your business.
Ken Picton and Sally Learmouth - Social Media and PR Solutions
Sunday 13 October 4-5pm
This formidable duo will be sharing the secrets of social media and the use of PR, with examples you can use to build your salon business. Ken is a multi award-winning salon owner who has seen first-hand the effects of good PR, while Sally Learmouth runs the successful Gloss Communications agency.
