In the year Saks
celebrates 40 years in business, the UK's biggest hair and beauty salon group concluded 12 action-packed months with a huge presence at Clothes Show Live.
The Saks Art Team took charge of the live action in the Alcatel OneTouth Fashion Theatre, styling 32 shows over five days. Luke Pluckrose, Tom Berry, Katie Adamson and Alison Dace created loose curls, big flicks and hair-ups to add the wow-factor to the show's Studio 54 theme.
Luke says: "Styling so many shows meant we had to be on the ball. We love giving our stylists the opportunity to get out of salon and experience session styling and they totally nailed it for Saks."
Saks also took charge of the makeup for the show, with head of beauty Kirsty Jewson leading the team. Shimmering eyes, luminous skin and plush lips all added to the Studio 54 vibe.
As if working backstage wasn't enough, the brand also relaunched their Saksessories hair tools and accessories range and hosted the Saks Pamper Lounge. Offering an array of hairstyles, blow dries and nail appointments, the lounge was a resounding success.
Stephen Kee, managing director at Saks, concludes: "The response at this event has exceeded expectations. We always nail it backstage and the new Pamper Lounge was a perfect opportunity to show how a Saks salon works - there was a great buzz and it was a go-to destination every day.
"We've been overwhelmed by the response from our stylists and therapists, wanting to show the Clothes Show Live audience exactly what makes Saks special. Taking part is priceless for staff motivation - they'll be talking about Clothes Show Live in Saks salons across the UK for ages. We're finishing our 40th year on a high."
