Saks create a frenzy with one penny haircuts

Saks Leamington Spa came up with a novel way to give something back to local residents and introduce new clients to the salon: they hosted a 1p haircuts day.

The salon whipped up a frenzy by offering the first 200 visitors through the door a voucher giving them a hair cut for just a penny.

And it was clear that the promotion hit a spot with local residents who arrived as early as 5.30am and formed queues to get their hands on one of the golden tickets.

Bally Khatkar, salon co-owner Saks Leaminton Spa says: "We were absolutely gobsmacked at the amazing response we received to this offer, and in these tough times it was very pleasing to be able to put smiles on people's faces!".

By midday, all 200 vouchers had been sold to eager clients who had been waiting since the small hours and Saks were so delighted with the response that they are already plotting the follow up.

"The buzz created was electric, and due to the phenomenal success of this promotion, we will be sure to do it again....so watch this space!" says co-owner Raj Sandhar.
