Paul Hanlon created a dreadlock-like texture inspired by masculine streetstyle looks for the Rag and Bone Autumn/Winter 2014 collection.
The show: Rag and Bone Autumn/Winter 2014
The hair team: Paul Hanlon for Schwarzkopf Professional Osis+
The look: Dry texture with hair shaped back into a dreadlock-style ponytail
The inspiration: Masculine-inspired street style
The key product: OSiS+ Dust It
"The look has a masculine edge," says Paul. "It's inspired by more of a street style - it's not meant to look glamorous.
Get the Look
1. Begin by generously covering hair with OSiS+ Grip Mousse and then rough-dry to give hair a powdery texture.
2. Next apply OSiS+ Rough Rubber and work through the roots to make them dirty, creating separation and strong definition.
3. Apply OSiS+ Dust It to the entire head then twist large sections and backcomb with fingers to mimic a dreadlock look.
4. Spray a thin layer of OSiS+ Elastic Flexible Hold Hairspray to keep frayed ends in place.
5. Gather hair at the nape of the neck and tie strands in a knot, leaving some pieces out.
6. Work OSiS+ Mess Up in to the hair around the face to add shine and contrast. Blow loose locks back to give the style shape and lock the look in place with OSiS+ Freeze strong hold hairspray.
