Bora aksu autumn/winter 2014: get the hair look Bora Aksu Autumn/Winter 2014: Get the Hair Look Bora Aksu Autumn/Winter 2014: Get the Hair Look The Bora Aksu Autumn/Winter 2014 collection was inspired by Turkish schoolgirls and Liam Curran created rope braids to complement the look. The show: Bora Aksu Autumn/Winter 2014 The hair team: Liam Curran and the KMS Collective Editorial Core Team The look: Rope braids over the head The inspiration: The collection was inspired by Bora's mother's school uniform in Turkey and the hair was similarly inspired by girlish hair. A traditional plait was upgraded to a rope braid to update the look slightly, with wispy windswept texture also keeping the look fresh. The key product: KMS California Freeshape 2-in-1 Styling + Finishing Get the look 1. Apply KMS California AddVolume Styling Foam through damp hair, paying close attention to the hairline and nape. 2. Split the hair down the middle into two sections with a straight centre parting. 3. Dry the roots straight and smooth, keeping hair flat to the head. Pay close attention to the hair line, nape and parting to ensure a perfectly flat finish. 4. Slightly smooth the ends of the hair with dryer, maintaining a natural texture. 5. Spritz the hair with Freeshape 2-in-1 Styling + Finishing. Taking one section at a time, smooth the hair down as tightly as possible so it's flat to the head. Tie in place at the back of the nape with an elastic. Repeat on the other section to create two low ponytails positioned at the back of the head. 6. Spray all the hair with Freeshape 2-in-1 Styling + Finishing to secure. 7. Split the ponytail in two and wrap each section around the other in a rope braid. Secure with an elastic. 8. Add Hairplay Makeover SPray to the rope braid and fluff out to create a dry, wispy texture. 9. Tie ribbons around the bands on each ponytail. 10. Bring the rope braids to the centre of the head and pin in place, ensuring pins are hidden. Finish with Freeshape 2-in-1 Styling + Finishing to keep in place.
