Q hair and beauty inspire local students

Q Hair and Beauty in Chichester continue to promote hairdressing as a potential career for school leavers, recently attending a careers event at The Academy School in the seaside town of Selsey. The Team at Q Hair and Beauty have run an after-school scheme - The Tiger Club - for a decade, encouraging students to follow hairdressing as a creative and far-reaching career. The Tiger Club and Future Professional apprentice scheme were both showcased to students while they had a chance to see some of the skills that would be available to them with live demos. Salon coordinator, Gina Madgwick, said: "Offering an insight to salon life does help students gain a better understanding of what to expect but also how joining the Tiger Club can help boost their ability and learning while still at school - so much so, we've already accepted two new entries to the club since the event." Q Hair and Beauty has been active in community projects since opening 42 years ago and has won the Chichester Observer Business Award for Education and Training three times.
