A recent Q Hair and Beauty Cut-A-Thon raised over £3,500 for a member of staff's much longed-for IVF treatment.
The entire team dressed in character to complement the theme of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and spent the day cutting, blow-drying and putting hair up. Beauty services were also available and volunteers also hosted a barbecue in the salon's grounds to add to the festive spirit.
The tight-knit salon has been established for more than 40 years and both clients and staff alike enjoy the vibrant, family atmosphere. On this occasion, their endeavors raised £3,737 which brings the total sum raised to £6,500 - enough to pay for IVF for a long-standing member of staff.
Salon owner Anthony Barnes-Smith said: "While we've always been active in both local and national charity, the Q team know charity begins at home and we are pleased we can help make a dream become reality for someone we’ve worked with for many years."
