Q hair & beauty celebrate 40 years with lifetime achievement award

Q Hair & Beauty recently enjoyed a double celebration, with salon owner Anthony Barnes-Smith being presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Chichester Observer Business Awards during his 40th anniversary year.
The glittering ceremony also saw the successful salon receive both the Education & Training and Innovation awards, in an evening which celebrated the very best business brains in the West Sussex area.
The Q Team secured the Education & Training award thanks to their unique after-school club, while the Innovation award was given in recognition of the salon's most recent marketing tool the 'Q App' for iPhone.
Meanwhile salon owner Anthony, who celebrates 40 years of hair and beauty in the local area in 2012, won the most-anticipated award of the evening, 'Lifetime Achievement'.
Anthony said:"I'm really humbled to have been selected as the person that deserves this particular award with so many likely contenders in the mix. Q has been my passion for 40 years and it's satisfying to be able to celebrate this passion with my team tonight."
The salon will now go on to compete in the Southern Business Awards to be held later in the year. The ruby milestone celebrations will also continue with a street party already planned for the summer.
