Project x students enjoy day of training with mark hayes

Students from the Fellowship for British Hairdressing's Project X  recently spent an inspirational day with Mark Hayes and the Sassoon team. The day started with a moodboardpresentation from the students, which Mark and his colleague critiqued. Next it was Mark's turn to present, telling the young hairdressers about his own journey in the industry and his time with Sassoon. In the afternoon, Mark and his fellow Sassoon stylists demonstrated three cuts, also providing an additional insight into colour and finish. It was then over to the students to recreate the looks on their own models with invaluable feedback from Mark. James Taylor from George’s Hair Salon, Leicester said: "The whole day was absolutely amazing and watching and listening to Mark Hayes was truly inspirational. The afternoon session topped the day off by getting the chance to cut a model’s hair with one-on-one tuition and it was really motivational. One of my favourite sessions with Project X so far.”
