Manshi Bharati has become one of the most successful graduates of Shaping Futures; the charitable initiative launched by Schwarzkopf Professional to support underprivileged young people in developing countries.
The orphaned teenager joined the scheme at the SOS Children's Village where she was living and enjoyed a year of training and education from Schwarzkopf Professional hairdressers, providing her with essential skills to help her build a career.
After graduating from the course, Manashi had the opportunity to showcase her skills on stage Berlin in front of an international audience of thousands as part of the Schwarzkopf Professional Essential Looks World Tour 2013.
Further proving the benefits of the course, Manashi has now secured a job with Naturals Hair Salon in Chennai. The 200-strong salon chain employs more than 4,000 hairdressers across Southern India and has already given placements to more than 20 Shaping Futures students.
