Perfect party hair - get the look

Sharon Blain put a twist on classique techniques to create this stunning party look. Here's how you can recreate the hairstyle and wow your clients.

Sharon-Blain-Updo.jpgSTEP 1:  Divide a triangle section from a deep-side parting back to the crown and to the outer corner of the eyebrow on the opposite side.

STEP 2:  Use a double barrel tong to wave the entire back section of the hair.

STEP 3: Comb the front panel into the finish position. Using a blunt sewing needle with a clear nylon thread, begin at the parting by sewing ½cm sections together along the parting and knotting the thread into the hair to secure.

STEP 4: Start the second row and pick up half of each section and knot together to give a weave or smocking effect. Continue through the whole panel.

STEP 5: Work the back section of the hair up into a triangle shape by using hair padding and sewing the waves to the padding to secure. Finish the look with gloss spray and hairspray for hold.
