People's choice awards: red carpet hair round-up

Award season 2013 got off to a stylish start last night with the 39th People's Choice Awards in Los Angeles.
Here are some of the A-list looks from the red carpet that made an impact...
Brittany Snow and Julianne Hough were both rocking shorter styles on the red carpet, both with blonde bobs styled in loose waves.
After years of seeing celebrity slaves to extensions styled in a centre parting and long loose waves, it's feels really refreshing to see these two Hollywood big-hitters opting for something a lot shorter and more stylish. Both of these cuts feel fresh and full of life - love it!
Both Taylor Swift and Lea Michele opted for plaited updos, in keeping with the braided styles that we've seen so much of on the catwalk.
Taylor opted for a low bun, with hair plaited back diagonally away from the face to create a slightly quiffed shape - perfect for showing off those incredible turquoise earrings. Lea's look is plated across in a classic Heidi band - I love how the texture mirrors the contrasting textures in her dress.
Big Bang Theory star and event host, Kaley Cuoco, and actress Chloe Moretz both opted for the half-up, half-down look with waves - a red carpet classic which can easily be dressed up or down with accessories or given more impact with a higher beehive.
Kaley added a jewelled clip to her look, opting for tonged waves to show off the shimmering blonde shades in her hair. I'm not quite so enamoured with Chloe's sweeping fringe - I love the texture in the waves and her neon Simone Rocha dress, but that wispy hair is too distracting for me!
