Prep is key for a look like this, so using a smoothing balm I blow-dried Abbey's hair straight. Once dry, I worked a finishing balm over the hair to add polish and ensure there were no flyaway hairs. Once the hair was smooth and straight, I gathered it into a low ponytail at the nape of the neck and tied with an elastic band to match her hair colour. To add hold, I then used a fine mist of light hairspray to make sure the hair stayed put. Then, taking a narrow section of her hair, I wrapped around the base to hide the elastic band and secured in place with grips. Once in place I finished with more hairspray. My three must have products for this look were Kérastase Forme Fatale to add styling support when blow-drying, Shu Uemura Sheer Lacquer to hold the style and Shu Uemura Touch of Gloss Melt in Wax to smooth and add a high gloss finish."
