Paul edmonds celebrates 30 years of hairdressing Paul Edmonds Celebrates 30 Years of Hairdressing Paul Edmonds celebrated the 30th anniversary of his Knightsbridge salon with a glittering party attended by industry peers, press and plenty of friends he's made along the way. Hosted at London's newest luxe hotel, Ham Yard, the party gave guests the chance to look back at some of the most memorable moments in Paul's illustrious hairdressing history while catching up with some old friends. Paul opened his luxurious South West London salon in 1984 and over his career has worked backstage with designers including Galliano and Gaultier as well as with countless celebrities. He taught and mentored many of British hairdressing's best-known names, including Richard Ward, Carolyn Newman and Errol Douglas. Paul said: "When I first opened in SW3, I didn't even know what Knightsbridge was. I thank God for the 1980s because it allowed me to be an idiot with a dream - the dream to open a salon. Well, we survived the 80s - and the 90s, and the 200s, and everything else. Thank you all for being with me along the way." Guest and friend Patrick Cameron also led a toast, adding: "The reason for Paul's continued success is that he's a gentleman who has allowed others to bloom thanks to his generosity."
