Eugene Souleiman created lost-girl hair
at the Haider Ackermann Spring/Summer 2014 show at Paris Fashion Week.
Show: Haider Ackermann
Stylist: Eugene Souleiman for Wella Professionals
The inspiration: Lost girls.
"The spectacular catwalk show featured models looking lost and out of place on a long, dark, shiny road," said Eugene.
"I took this theme of feeling out of place, of feeling a little lost as a person, and created a hair look that echoed the idea of being not quite appropriate for the situation you find yourself in," he continued.
The look: A technical look, heavy on detail with elements of intrigue and surprise. A French pleat and 40s-style roll to give a sense of elegant masculinity, fused with softer, more-feminine elements - such as the veil of hair that floated across the face.

Get the look: Start with freshly shampooed and conditioned hair, using Wella Professionals Enrich Shampoo and Conditioner.
Blow dry hair using Perfect Setting Blow Dry Lotion to create a smooth finish, then straighten to form the perfect base.
Section the hair in to three; front and centre top, and two sides.
Spray the front section with Ocean Spritz Beach Texture Spray to give the hair some grip. Gently backcomb the hair at the roots, bringing it forward away from the face. Take a padded roll and fix it on the top of the head with hair pins, folding it in to a U shape and placing it slightly forward on the head.
Working with the backcombed sections at the side of the head, use a soft bristle brush to gently brush the hair upwards, spraying with Stay Styled Hairspray along the length of the hair, ensuring that the product adds direction and shine to the roots then disappears towards the end of the hair.
Gradually tease the hair over the ‘sausage’, spraying with Stay Styled Hairspray and using hair grips to keep the hair in place inside the roll.
Take the section of hair immediately behind the rolled section and brush, pulling and fixing in to a tail then folding forwards and over the roll to create a ‘veil’ of hair that gently sits on top.
Part the back section down the centre and section off. Create a French pleat on one side of the head by backcombing to create structure then use a soft bristle brush to brush the hair backwards, spraying with Stay Styled Hairspray as you work.
Twist the hair into a French Pleat and secure in place with hair pins – ensure that the finish of the pleat is perfect by spraying hairspray on to a soft cosmetics brush and gently brushing the hair to remove imperfections and flyaways.
Finally, brush the remaining back section of hair with a soft brush and secure in a low side ponytail at the hai line, ensuring that the head is kept in an upright position while the ponytail is tied to keep the hair flat against the head and stop the ponytail from becoming baggy.
