The Oscar for Best Makeup and Hairstyling 2015 was awarded to Frances Hannon and Mark Coulier for their work on Grand Budapest Hotel.
The film tells the story of the fading glamour of a hotel and featured remarkable transformations of the cast, particularly
Tilda Swinton who became unrecognisable as 'Madame D' thanks to prosthetics and wigs.
It was the first Academy Award nomination for Frances and the second for prosthetics expert Mark Coulier, who was previously nominated - and won - for The Iron Lady in 2011.
Frances thanked all of the assistants who worked so hard on the film with them, while Mark thanked his crew and the late makeup artist Dick Smith, who he described as 'raising the bar for all of us'. Both Frances and Mark also thanked director Wes Anderson.
Grand Budapest Hotel was a big winner on the night, scooping four awards in total. As well as the Oscar for Best Makeup and Hairstyling 2015, the film was also recognised for costume design, production and score.
