Onico Hair and Nail in Osaka, Hapan brings the outdoors into breath-taking effect. This whimsical salon was inspired by ‘a treasure hunt in the woods’, according to designer Ryo Isobe, with a woodland of silver birch trees strung with bare bulbs adding an otherworldly feel to the whitewashed space and ivy climbing up the walls. Mismatched chairs and mirrors in complementary shades add further interest to the ethereal interior of Onico Hair and Nail, which is further dressed with antique finds and quirky curiosities - including a stuffed owl hidden in the tree tops.
