Olaplex sponsors erdem aw23 show with lead stylist anthony turner

On Sunday 19 February Olaplex sponsored the Erdem AW23 show with one of the UK's most prolific hair stylists within the fashion industry, Anthony Turner, who crafted dramatic hair looks inspired by Victorian Heroines.
Centre-partings and low ponytails were integral to the ERDEM show, which emulated the Victorian age as the period of inspiration. “We were inspired by the more riotous women of this century”, says Anthony Turner, “So when it came to the creation of these looks, perfection went out the window.”
One look imitated a maid’s up-do, that had become windswept and elegantly dishevelled. Anthony crafted a messy low pony with curls cascading down the back at different lengths which created the illusion of hair falling out of the clasp. This was framed with fluffy natural curls haloing the face, and hair that split across the tops of the ears. Anthony finished the look by spraying Olaplex’s NEW No.4D Clean Detox Volume Dry Shampoo (£28) all over the hair, from the crown to the pony. “We wanted to create the appearance of something that was once intentional, that has now become beautifully weathered. Using this product helped achieve more matte and textured hair,” explains Anthony.
Anthony’s second creation was a wet look pony that added lustre and electricity to the ERDEM show and modernised its 19th century roots. Anthony created the models' glossy unkept pony using Olaplex's No.9 Bond Protector Nourishing Hair Serum (£28) all the way through dry hair before adding a mist of water, to create the appearance of ‘wetness’ whilst maintaining texture and hold. “No.9 can be used as a styling product when used on dry hair,” says Anthony, “and it works on all hair types, including afro and curly.” To achieve a wet look that is more wearable, Anthony recommends Olaplex No.7 Bonding Oil (£28) or No.8 Bond Intense Moisture Mask (£28).
For the showstopper at the finale of the ERDEM show, crystals were shattered over the top of the head imitating raindrops. This illuminated the glossy finish of Olaplex’s No.9 Bond Perfector Nourishing Hair Serum which was reapplied to the model’s hair before walk-out.
