Finalists gathered at the Revlon Professional Academy, Leeds on Monday 27 February to compete for a place in the Revlon Professional Visionaries Team 2023. The year-long mentorship programme, directed by Revlon’s Global Ambassador, multi-award-winning Mark Leeson, gives budding stylists the chance to supercharge their skill set. With opportunities ranging from photo shoots to stage work, colour and cutting courses and social media workshops, this really is a fast-track route to a stellar hair career. Judges included Richard Darby and Terri Kaye from Mark Leeson; Emma Simmons from Salon 54 and our own Charlotte Grant-West, Editor of Hairdressers Journal International. A total of 19 finalists were invited to show off their cutting and colouring skills under the scrutiny of the esteemed panel. Without further ado, here are the Visionaries Team 2023…

Commenting on the quality of the contenders, Mark Leeson said: “The amount of talent we had in the room this year was so impressive. We witnessed some really promising skills but what impressed me most was the obvious hard work and commitment they all showed. I’m excited for the year ahead and I know our final five are all excited too.” To kick things off, the five Visionaries will be treated to a two-day colour and cutting course at Revlon’s’ Academy in Leeds.
