Eugene Souleiman created uniform ponytails for the DKNY Spring/Summer 2014 show at New York Fashion Week.
Show: DKNY
Stylist: Eugene Souleiman, global creative director of Wella Professionals
The inspiration: "To celebrate the 25th anniversary of DKNY, Donna created a big collection with many different segments, with a lot of models," said Eugene. "I wanted to create a look of uniformity that helped to tie the many segments of the collection together. To me, DKNY is all about youthful and natural sophistication, and the hair look needed to embody this."
The look: A low side ponytail with a side parting.
Get the look: Start with freshly washed and conditioned hair, using Wella Professionals Enrich Shampoo and Conditioner to ensure hair is in perfect condition.
Spray Wella Professionals Perfect Setting Blow Dry Lotion through the hair and, using a soft bristle brush, blow-dry the hair flat to the head.
Next, help protect hair against heat using the Wella Professionals Thermal Image Heat Protection Spray. This will help to create a smooth polished look when using the straightening irons
Create a low side parting and gently brush the hair flat to the head, spraying with Wella Professionals Glamour Recharge Color Enhancing Spray, to add shine and hold.
Using a soft bristle brush sprayed with Glamour Recharge Color Enhancing Spray, gently pull the hair over to a low pony tail on the opposite side of the head to the parting, ensuring that all flyaways are tamed.
Secure the hair in a low ponytail with an elastic hair band, letting the ponytail come forward over the shoulder.
Finally, take a small pump of Wella Professionals Oil Reflections and smooth on to the palms of your hands. Take a soft brush and gently rub across the palms to pick up the smallest amount of product then brush the ponytail section.
