Frank Rizzieri and Kevin Ryan for Aveda created a smooth, straight style with a mixture of matte and natural finishes for the Tibi Spring/Summer 2013 show at New York Fashion Week.

Inspiration: "This collection is a departure for Tibi with a simple "cool girl" vibe. To complement the designs, the hair is styled to hang straight. It's sleek and the product is concentrated at the top half of the hair near the roots so that the bottom is weightless with a natural movement."

The look: ""The look is totally sleek and straight to make the girls look tough - but not mean - and to give a bit of an edge to the simplicity of the collection."

Get the look: Create a straight, clean centre part. Spray a cocktail of Aveda Pure Abundance Style Prep and Volumizing Tonic from roots to mid-length, coating the hair. 

Blow-dry straight from roots to ends using a round brush. Use a flat iron to smooth out any kinks or waves if necessary. Hair should be flat to the head. 

Tuck hair behind the ears and part in the back, bringing hair forward over each shoulder. Finish with Air Control Hair Spray to smooth flyaways.
