New york fashion week spring/summer 2013: rodarte

Odile Gilbert created straight, flat hair for the Rodarte Spring/Summer 2013 show at New York Fashion Week.

Inspiration:  Odile worked with the proportions of the clothes for a look that was modern but medieval and which showed off the statement dragon earring cuffs each model wore. Modernity and graphic were watch words.

The look: Strict and straight, very flat hair with high pulled tight on one side to create the effect of a shaved undercut on one side.

Get the look: Hair was prepped with Kérastase Double Fibre Architecte to seal split ends and create a smooth, flat finish.

Hait was then prepped with Ciment Thermique and divided into three sections; two in the back - with one hanging straight down over the other - and one in front, which was combed all the way over one side and coated with Elixir Ultime for added shine.
