Paul Hanlon created textured lengths for the Altuzarra Autumn/Winter 2013 show at New York Fashion Week.

Show: Altuzarra

Stylist: Paul Hanlon

The inspiration: Patti Smith and Kate Moss - a little bit rock 'n' roll.

The look: Centre-parted textured lengths with a slightly 'greasy' effect through the roots.

Get the look: Hair was blow-dried flat using a cocktail of Schwarzkopf Professional OSiS Extreme Hold Mousse and Buff Light Styling Cream to remove volume, twisting hair round to pull out flatten.

Magic Anti-Frizz Shine Serum was then worked all the way up to the roots to create a deliberately greasy effect, with BC Hairtherapy Oil Potion Finishing Treatment added through the ends to create separation and a slightly 'stringy' effect. Hair was secured with a very low elastic which was released just before models walked to add a further kink.

Key products: Schwarzkopf Professional OSiS Extreme Hold Mousse, Buff Light Styling Cream, Magic Anti-Frizz Shine Serum, BC Hairtherapy Oil Potion Finishing Treatment
