Some 1,500 hairdressers from 38 countries attended the Davines World Wide Hair Tour in London, all keen to share the creativity and sustainable beauty message of the Italian brand.
The day kicked off with a presentation by multi-award winning Canadian hairdresser Anna Pacitto and her team, who presented three demonstrations covering creative cutting and long hair.
The event also saw the final of the 2014 World Style Contest, which was proceeded by a presentation by last year’s winner Headcandy Hair Studio, in Eastern Cape, South Africa. This year’s final was judged live at the event by a panel of judges including HJ’s deputy editor, Matthew Batham.
Winners this year were:
Best Colour – Keegan Nelson from Pukekohe, Newzealand
Best Cut – Sophie Harries, Blue Tit, London

Next to wow the crowd was the inspirational team from Allilon, who presented a live version of their latest collection inspired by the work of artist Kelvin Okafor. The looks – coloured in numerous shades of white, black and grey - reflected the British artist’s portraits which he creates using just graphite pencils and erasures.
Closing the show was Davines artistic director, Angelo Seminara, who created five looks for an appreciative audience, followed by a spectacular closing show.
