Nail trend: the hourglass manicure

  We ask Hollywood nail expert Naja all about the latest nail trends and her celebrity clientele... What colour trends should we be looking out for this summer Naja? This summer, it's all about standout nails! The brighter the better when it comes to colour - neon is everywhere. Is nail art still popular with your clients? Yes, definitely. The accent nail on hands is still relevant, but my prediction for this summer's biggest trend is the hourglass manicure. You take two colours, using one as the base. Then use the other colour to create an arched shape down the centre of the nail, which creates an eye-catching look and slims the fingers. Who is your favourite celebrity client? Katy Perry, because she's happy to try out new things whether it's for an event, TV appearance or a music video. She has a lot of ideas of what shes wants so it's always fun to create looks with her. Country star Miranda Lambert is also great to work with - now I've exposed her to nail art she really likes it. She said she wants to bring nail art to the country scene because it's always the pop stars that get to have fun! I did her nails for the Grammy Awards this year with a reverse triangle French using nude as the base colour and a dark blue triangle at the base and guess what? She was voted best manicure at the Grammy's - a major success!
