Mynewhair partners with macmillan cancer support MyNewHair Partners with Macmillan Cancer SupportMyNewHair has partnered with Macmillan Cancer Support to help reach and improve the lives of people living with cancer. Founded by Trevor Sorbie, MyNewHair is a charity dedicated to supporting those with medical hair loss. A network of trained hair professionals provide free advice and wig-cutting services and the charity also gives training to those wishing to offer the service in their salons. The two organisations will be working together to signpost those affected by cancer to each other's vital services. Anyone who comes to Macmillan seeking advice on hair and wig services will be provided with the name and contact details of their nearest MyNewHair salon. In return, MyNewHair hairdressers will direct any clients in need of advice and support to Macmillan’s helpline and advice services. Deborah Boothroyd, Cancer Information Support Line Team Leader of Macmillan Cancer Support, says: "We are delighted to announce this partnership with mynewhair. We know only too well how devastating it can be for people affected by cancer to lose their hair. This new partnership means we can now direct them to a local expert, who will give them one to one advice and expertise to help rebuild their confidence and their lives after cancer." Hairdressers interested in training with MyNewHair should call the L'Oréal Academy on 0208 762 4200 or email to [email protected]
