My red carpet predictions

DSC01402-1SML[1].jpg I am thinking of doing my own series - How to Look Good....Knackered. I am becoming more familiar than I ever wanted to be with motorway service stations as I seem to spend all my time backwards and forwards between Somerset and London.

It's all exciting stuff though. I have been organizing builders, finding plasterers, sourcing furniture (and I am very fussy, which doesn't help) and looking for equipment.

Works starts on the 8th February but I know it's going to be a while before it starts to look anything like I want it to!

At the weekend I set up "local boy returns from the Smoke" interviews in Bridgewater, with local press and local radio stations. I am really excited.

The best bit was putting my advert in the local paper for a salon manager, stylist, and colour specialist. It's all taking shape.

In between all that, I am also filming what, for me, is the third series of How to Look Good Naked. We were filming on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and then we are doing the catwalk shots next week so there is loads of preparation to do.

But it's not just me who is feeling the pressure at the moment. It's Red Carpet Season, with the Oscars, the Elle Style Awards and the BAFTAs all to come. My predictions for Red Carpet looks are lots of White blonde hair; peroxide blonde is the colour of choice for a striking look in 2010. I think we'll see a lot of romantic plaits and braids and 1940s and 1970s inspired hair.

I love short textured haircuts that are hitting the high streets and celebs at the moment, which are edgy but still very sexy and feminine, with colour mixed in to emphasize the shape and style. And one of the most exciting products at the moment for me is the new range from Matrix called design pulse. It is edgy, has a full range of products to do everything from long to short, thin fine, and it looks great. It's going to be massive.
