Michael van clarke launches salon business mastery scheme

Ever wondered how multi-award-winning salon owner Michael Van Clarke achieved his phenominal success? Well, the pioneering hairdresser and business guru is offering other salon owners and managers, and potentially their entire teams – the chance to share his insights with the launch of an education programme, Salon Business Mastery. Initially the programme will comprise 12 books, each representing a module of a comprehensive course covering all aspects of running a salon business, including the commercial logistics and the art of cutting. Salon owners and managers will also be invited to attend one-off seminars at Michael’s salon, recently extended to include a dedicated presentation room, where he will offer intimate sessions for groups of 10 or less aimed at introducing them to the techniques and practices that have kept his business on top for 25 years. Following these seminars Michael envisages there will be a demand for bespoke education with individual salon teams, and Michael will involve members of his own team at all levels in delivering this. Said Michael: “It’s about helping the industry and other salon owners and hairdressers to make their businesses more profitable, easier and more fun. I’ve been in this industry for 35 years and what is obvious to me isn’t always obvious to someone running a new business.”
