Mfw trend report: soft movement at versace aw16

MFW Versace AW16

Redken Global Creative Director Guido used hair bands and soft movement to capture a rock n’ roll moment at the Versace Fall/Winter 2016 show.

“The Versace girl is a real cool rock n’ roll kind of girl. The ease of the hair this season is a juxtaposition to the super glamorous clothes and makeup. I used wind blown 05 to texturize the hair, then added a band in the hair to create a combined feel of a festival, the 60s, and even a bit of a New York vibe. But yet it’s not one specific thing. The idea of achieving glamour in a way that looks easy is very relevant now.”– Guido

Get the Look

Wash and dry hair using Diamond Oil High Shine Shampoo and Conditioner.

Let hair air dry naturally. Once dry, create a messy middle part using fingers.

Using a 1-inch curling iron, create soft movement and bend throughout hair. Spray hair with wind blown 05 dry finishing spray to create texture and slight hold.

Apply narrow headband to crown of head, allowing ears to show.
