Meet the new redken blonde idol: jessica stam

Supermodel Jessica Stam has been announced as the latest Redken Blonde Idol, joining blogger Blonde Salad, social media specialist Naomi Thomas, DJ Yanay Rico and fellow model Danielle Williams.
Redken recognise that no two blondes are the same, which is why they've recruited a glam panel of five blonde bombshells to celebrate just how great every hue can look.
And, more than just colour, the Redken Blonde Idol dream team reflect the diverse energy, personality, talents and style of truly modern blondes.
Jessica has experimented with numerous hair colours over her modelling career, but says that being blonde is by far her favourite and the one shade she feels most confident wearing. "There’s something lighter about being blonde, it kinda changes your perspective," she says. "I dyed my hair dark once and people think you are a dark person, a bad girl. Blondes get a different kind of attention."
Born on a farm in Canada surrounded by six brothers, Jessica went on take the modelling world by storm after being scouted at the age of 16 in an amusement park. Her Fashion CV boasts successful campaigns for Versace, Valentino and Prada and covers for British, Italian, French, German and American Vogue. She is also the woman behind Marc Jacobs' best-selling Stam bag.
