Edinburgh’s salon group, Medusa, recently brought together more than 80 team members from across its six salons for its annual Team Awards, an evening dedicated to recognising excellence, celebrating success and reflecting on another year of growth.

Hosted by Managing Director Colin McAndrew, the event has become a cornerstone of the Medusa calendar, honouring the individuals and teams who consistently raise standards, inspire colleagues and deliver exceptional experiences for clients.

Addressing the team, Colin reflected on Medusa's journey from a single salon to one of Scotland's most respected salon groups, with six thriving locations and a team of more than 80 professionals.

"When I look around the room, I see the people who make Medusa what it is," said Colin. "Every stylist, assistant, apprentice, manager and educator contributes something unique. Our success has never been about one person, it’s built on a shared commitment to creativity, excellence and supporting one another."

The evening celebrated achievements across every area of the business, from emerging talent and creative excellence to leadership, retail performance and long-service recognition. The awards also highlighted the importance of teamwork, with honours recognising those who have gone above and beyond to support colleagues and elevate the client experience.

"Awards are important because they allow us to pause and recognise the hard work that often happens quietly, day in and day out," added Colin. "They remind us of what we're building together and what can be achieved when talented people share a common vision."

As Medusa looks ahead to their 30th year in business, the Team Awards served as a reminder that the group's greatest strength remains its people.

A huge congratulations to the winners!
