Maxine peake recruits neville salon for the red carpet Maxine Peake Recruits Neville Salon for the Red Carpet Multi-award winning actress Maxine Peake recently called upon James Wilson from Neville Salon to style her hair for two high-profile red carpet appearances. The actress, who stars in the Oscar-tipped film The Theory of Everything, was in London for the British Independent Film Awards and the movie's London premiere. Maxine Peake Recruits Neville Salon for the Red Carpet - quiff For the awards, James created a cool textured quiff. He says: "Maxine wanted a quiff to complement the tailored suit she was wearing. I started by prepping her damp hair with L'Oreal Professionnel Tecni Art Volume Lift Spray Mousse to create volume and lift, blow-drying at the roots with a vent brush. After the volume was created, I lightly smoothed over the ends with a Denman brush. "Once the hair was dry I sprayed L'Oreal Professionnel Fresh Dust from root to tip and lightly teased the roots with a comb. To finish this look I used L'Oreal Professionnel Play Ball Density Material and L'Oreal Professionnel Fix Design to hold the look in place." Maxine Peake Recruits Neville Salon for the Red Carpet - textured hair The second event James worked on was the premiere of Maxine's new film, Stephen Hawking biopic The Theory of Everything. He says: "For the premiere, Maxine wanted to work with a messy style to complement her polo neck top and accentuate her funky undercut hair. I prepped her hair with L'Oreal Professionnel Beach Waves and a round brush to blow-dry the hair smooth but with a matte texture. "Once dry I used L'Oreal Professionnel Fresh Dust to give even more texture to the hair before applying L'Oreal Professionnel Play Ball Deviation Paste to really mess up her hair."
