Matrix Revolution came to Birmingham on Wednesday, in the latest stop of its tour. Artists Anne Veck and Scott Green showcased the latest cutting and colour techniques based around the concepts of Digital Design and Colour Shock to give a futuristic view of beauty.

Precision cutting that clashed couture with vintage set the tone for Birmingham's presentation. Combining street sensibility and pitching fashion versus style, Scott and Anne demonstrated looks that came from a truly commercial platform.

Scott embraced the power of digital channels in his research, to convey an extensive range of catwalk and cultural inspirations; from long haired looks at D&G to the seductive dual textures of his Christina Hendricks inspired look. Short styles had an androgynous feel while Mod references brought angles and geometry to the fore.

The pair also offered invaluable tips to the audience:

Tip 1: Maximise your Matrix product range by cocktailing and linking products for your clients every time they visit. "I can't live without my personal favourites from Design Pulse: Mix and Shine worked with Quick and Dirty," said Scott.

Tip 2: Never stop looking - use digital technology and the endless opportunities it offers for research to ensure you don't get stuck in a rut. It's never been easier to find information and inspiration, it's all at your fingertips.
