Mark Hayes and two Sassoon stylists have given the
Project X team an inspiring demonstration in
Sassoon cutting methodology as they continue their education with some of the best hairdressers in the business.
The first demo had two very short areas at the temples, leaving a disconnected top that overhangs the short area, thereby limiting the width of the fringe.
For the second demonstration, Mark Hayes and Sassoon colourist Oliver showed the Fellowship Project X students how cut and colour really work together.
Mark got straight to work on a model that Oliver had coloured earlier in the day, a truly fantastic red. Oliver pre-lightened an area with foil packets and then applied a high lift ash blonde to the rest of the head. The effect was truly amazing!
In the afternoon, it was time to put what they had learned into practice with a cutting workshop where each student received hands-on education about the Sassoons cutting methodology.
They then had the daunting task of presenting their model to the rest of the team and explaining what they had got out of the day.
Next stop for the team is the
Bed Head Studio for a Project X photoshoot.
