Salon graduate Lisa recently joined the styling team at Southend’s Novo Hair salon. “Sometimes salon work can get quite regimented, so it’s always fun to have the freedom to play around with colour,” she told me. Mixing lavender and violet shades, Lisa creates a funky lilac look with flashes of bright purple – and this is the toned down version! Brendan fades his purple roots into light lilac tips by mixing the dye with a conditioner for this mystical, soft ombre look: the perfect party update for the short back and sides style. Brendan’s styling product of choice is anything with a dusty consistency, “dry shampoo is great for adding volume and texture,” he told me.
