Love hair: interiors inspiration

Love hair: interiors inspiration Love Hair Interiors Inspiration Love Hair is in one of the prettiest villages in the Cotswolds with a bridal shop and florist as neighbours, so it's perhaps no wonder that the mood of rustic romance is one that's recreated in the salon. "Our vision for the design was to bring a boutique hair salon to the country," explain owners Deborah Murphy and Katie Hemming. "We reflect our surrounding countryside with a rustic feel. As Broadway is one of the prettiest villages around, we wanted to bring that prettiness in to the salon to mirror such a beautiful area." Upcycled vintage finds lend a feel of charming quirkiness, with a travelling trunk coffee table, recycled fruit crates for retail shelving and an antique bureau in the reception area. Styling stations are created using hand made white shelves, with different mirrors at each finished in pastel shades. Enhancing the soothing surroundings is a neutral palette, including the ever-popular Farrow and Ball Elephant's Breath, Annie Sloan pastel chalk paint and Andrew Martin 'love letter' wallpaper. The Annie Sloan paint in particular was not just chosen for its pretty shades, but also because they match the colours of the KEVIN.MURPHY products! Take a tour of the salon below.

Love Hair: In Brief

Name: Love Hair Address: 5 Keil Close, Broadway, Worcester, WR12 7DP Owners: Deborah Murphy and Katie Hemming Number of staff: 6 Number of styling stations: 4 plus 1 barber chair Design by: Helen Bainbridge Sources: Upcycled vintage finds, Farrow and Ball and Annie Sloan paints and Andrew Martin wallpaper What was the most expensive part of the refit/refurb? The technology; we have a television on the wall by the basin area and our computer system is also a new addition involving a large touch screen. What was the best buy? The chairs and basins were reused and revamped, which meant they were less than we had budgeted for. Is there anything you'd change? The lino flooring on the raised stage. We'd change it to something more crisp and clean-looking but still blending in with the salon. galleryWidgetDec14
