Celebrity hairstylist Larisa Love has opened her first European salon in the heart of Amsterdam's Jordaan district, partnering with professional salon haircare brand, JOICO.
Larisa met her husband, member of rock band Palaye Royale, Sebastian Danzig, in Amsterdam and always dremt of opening a salon there, which includes a JOICO colour bar and styling products. She is a Global Brand Ambassador for JOICO, which focuses on improving hair health.
With friends and colleagues flying in from Germany, the UK and USA, guests were welcomed with champagne and matcha drinks before being shown around the new salon. Key features of the salon include a JOICO color bar, comfortable salon furniture, and a leopard print sofa along with shelves featuring Larisa’s favourite JOICO care and styling products.
The double aspect windows feature original stained-glass panels, which let natural light into the salon essential for Larisa’s iconic color transformations.

Several showstopping glass chandeliers make a strong statement, with the eye-catching design elements not overshadowing the main salon. The powder room features a decoupage wall created from black and white portraits of supermodels and inspirational images - epitomising Larisa’s unique style and attention to detail.
“Never be afraid to dream,” said Larisa at the opening night. “It might seem tough at times but never give up. I was so blessed to have the support of Sebastian, my friends and the contractors who shared the same vision as me. Bringing the salon to life was an incredible experience and I can say in all honesty dreams really do come true.”
Ursula Puchhammer, Brand & Digital Communications Manager EMEA for JOICO, said: “Larisa is such an incredible artist and JOICO is delighted that she has chosen Amsterdam to open her first European salon.
"The energy and excitement that she has brought with her to Amsterdam is inspirational to see and we can’t wait to see what she does next.”
