The L'Oreal Professional Producs team raised more than £15,000 for HABB, inspired by their colleague, Haley Martin (left).
Since being diagnosed with terminal bowel cancer, Haley has courageously used her experience in a positive way to highlight the fact that, 'it can happen to anyone' and to help raise funds for others in need. Haley took part in a
shoot earlier this year to promote HABB, with all the participants donating their time and skills.
Following this, all of the employees at L’Oréal Professional Products decided to focus on fundraising for HABB as part of their annual charity day.
The entire team took part, from the employees at the warehouse and distribution centre in Bury running a Great British Bake Off-style contest to the logistics team’s 50-mile bike ride to all 22 bridges crossing the Thames inside the M25.
Staff at the London head office in Hammersmith also did their bit with a cake sale, pop-up bar and raffle, while hairdressers attending the
L’Oréal Professionnel Portfolio Congress in Miami earlier this year signed a book which which was auctioned off.
Decleor & Carita, which became part of the L’Oréal Professional Products Division earlier this year, got behind fundraising for HABB too with a barbecue, bake-off and product sale. Meanwhile, the Essie team ran a Paint & Polish nail fundraising day.
Finally the Matrix team ran a “Take Your Top Off” campaign throughout July. The incentive was launched to encourage colourists to sell colour in a fun and stimulating way, as a percentage from every tube sold was donated to HABB.
Overall more than £15,000 was raised by the entire division, all of which will go directly to HABB to support the hairdressing industry.
