L’Oréal Professional Products Business Connects Roadshow Unites Over 500 Hairdressers

The very first L’Oréal Professional Products Business Connects Roadshow took place in Spring 2023. L’Oréal Professional Products’ Leadership Team, along with leading industry experts visited six cities across the UK & Ireland, bringing together over 500 hairdressers, to discuss the challenges, explore the opportunities and delve deeper into the industry insights that are shaping the future of hairdressing in the UK and Ireland.

The roadshow highlighted key areas of focus for the industry, such as the ability to book online which is becoming more important for clients, especially younger clients with 62% of 16-34 year olds booking online in 2022, compared to 47% in 2019.₁ Other L’Oréal surveys found that nearly half of British women (45 per cent) said they made more sustainable choices in 2022 than in previous years, and when looking more specifically at salons 43 per cent wanted to see their salon doing more to be sustainable₂, and nearly a quarter (23 per cent) said they now expect a beauty or wellness service provider to be committed to reducing their environmental footprint.₃

As Business Partners, L’Oréal Professional Products recognise these changes in consumer behaviour and continues to serve the ever-evolving needs of salons today as they meet consumer expectations. Salons are much more than a professional haircare provider; they are a people-centric business run by a people-centric team. The Business Connects Roadshow provided a chance for Salon Owners across the UK & Ireland to come together to connect, learn and inspire one another as they reflect on the last few years, future of their business and the opportunities it brings.

Further insights and discussions were led by members of the L’Oréal Professional Products Leadership Team, Industry Leaders and motivational speaker, Jamil Qureshi . The powerful agenda sought to educate, push boundaries, and drive meaningful conversations amongst those in the room and with their wider teams outside of the event. Monica Teodoro, General Manager, Education and Professional Development, L’Oréal Professional Products UKI said: "As we look to the future and the evolution of the professional industry, connection to our community is more important than ever.

By learning and inspiring one another at the Business Connects Roadshows; ideas and challenges were addressed, new skills and knowledge obtained, and opportunities seized. The power of community is the tonic we need and we cannot wait to bring the Beauty of L’Oréal Professional Partnership to more salons and stylists in the months to come."
