To create the hair look to compliment the stunning collection, session stylist Syd Hayes used the BaByliss PRO ItaliaBRAVA Dryer to give a brushed through texture.
Movement was added to the lengths using a BaByliss PRO Titanium Expression 32mm Curling Tong. Syd says, "This is definitely not a party curl - it’s a soft wave. Very cool and very easy. Almost as if the model has slept in damp hair the night before then just gets up and goes.”
And then, there's 'the Winge'. The Winge being the hair's focus, a short, choppy, wig- fringe.
He explained that the fringe “...a 90’s fringe like something your Mum would do at home when you were a kid,” was inspired by “...a woman who smoked those old, pastel coloured cigarettes. She’s quite cool and has this short choppy fringe. She is someone who doesn’t care too much, likes to have fun and could almost have hacked at it herself.”
Syd and his team spent the evening before the show cutting and dying a ‘Winge’ for each of the 25 models. To finish the look, Syd added a vinyl headband adding, “This is Sibling and it’s always fun.”
The show was dedicated to Joe Bates, fellow founder of the label along with Sid Bryan and Cozette McCreery. He sadly passed away in August.
