Bora Aksu Spring/Summer 2014 hair by KMS California Chrysostomos Chamalidis created romantic updos for the Bora Aksu Spring/Summer 2014 show at London Fashion Week. Show:  Bora Aksu Stylist: Chrysostomos Chamalidis for KMS California The inspiration: To celebrate the label's 10th anniversary, Bora Aksu made a return to his Turkish roots. The hair reflected this and was inspired by rural Turkish girls - youthful, fresh but also slightly romantic and glamorous. As usual at Bora Aksu, there was also a slight Victorian hint. The look: A twisted chignon with lots of texture, secured by statement clips - as though the girl has been for a walk in the fields and pulled her hair back. [gallery columns="2" ids="22800,22801"] Get the look: Wet hair thoroughly then work a little Silksheen Polishing Serum through the ends of the hair. Apply AddVolume Root & Body Lift in sections at the roots. Start sectioning at the nape and work up until all root area is covered. Apply AddVolume Volumising Spray thoroughly through the mid-lengths and ends and comb through. Blow-dry at the roots with a vent brush to create lift , ensuring the ends stay detangled. Apply Freeshape Hot Flex Spray to the mid-lengths and ends. Use medium tongs to curl the bottom third of the hair in large vertical sections - the biggest sections you can manage. Once curl, brush through to break up the curls. Create a deep side parting; not too perfect or straight. Section a front triangle, brush forward and apply Hot Flex Spray again. Use tongs to curl this section away from the face. Roll the curl around the finger, keeping the roots voluminous and clip in place to cool. Create another section behind the crown and repeat previous step, then repeat again on large sections at the side and back until you have seven curled sections in total. Release curls when set. Apply Hairplay Makeover Spray then, starting at the front softly backcomb all over with a paddle brush. Reapply Makeover Spray then use TameFrizz Taming Creme to rub through the hair. Spray HairPlay Playable Texture throughout the hair; comb through. Create a low ponytail and begin to twist. Pin in place from behind, ensuring there is volume at the crown. Continue to twist untul the end rolls up - pin in place. Slightly open the twist to make it bigger and secure with pins. Apply TameFrizz Taming Creme at the front to smooth. Apply clips and finish with HairStay Medium Hold Spray.
