London fashion week spring/summer 2014: design by shanghai collective

Bea Watson created a trio of looks for the Design by Shanghai Collective Spring/Summer 2014 show at London Fashion Week. Show: Design by Shanghai Collective Stylist: Bea Watson for Bumble and bumble Look one The inspiration: London teenage street fashion - girls tying their hair in really high ponytails, even though hairdressers tell them not to because it's bad for it! The look: A very high, youthful ponytail with a bound base to make the hair sit upright and swing. Get the look: Hair was dampened down with Bumble and bumble Bb Prep before being coated with Thickening Hairspray and given a smooth, straight blow-dry. A blend of Does it All, Spray de Mode and Classic Hairspray was used to shape and secure the ponytails, with product being chosen to suit the model's hair type and texture. Black electrical tape was then wrapped around the ponytail to pull it away from the head and add movement as the models walked. Key products: Bumble and bumble Bb Prep, Thickening Hairspray, Does it All, Spray de Mode, Classic Hairspray. Look two The inspiration: Classically romantic. Bea described it as, "awkward sophistication" - not a girl, not yet a woman. The look: Half up, half down chignons to reflect the combination of maturity and innocence. Get the look: Prep the hair with a combination of Bb Prep, Thickening Hairspray and Full Form Mousse then blow-dry to give hair plenty of shine and volume. Style into a side parting and sweep back into a chignon, leaving the front two inches on either side free. Lightly tong the front sections and leave loose, then finish with Spray de Mode to keep the shape. The look: A low ponytail wrapped in bamboo and string. Get the look:Prep the hair with Bumble and bumble Bb Prep and layer on Thickening Hairspray to create a full, even texture. Gather loosely in a ponytail at the base of the hairline, ensuring ears are covered. Secure the ponytail then cover with bamboo accessories and tie with string for a totally natural, organic feel.
